Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) has published its first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, covering the period from 2024 to 2025 and outlining its commitment to sustainable growth across Dubai Airport Freezone, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Dubai CommerCity.

The report highlights significant progress across sustainability, social impact and governance. Key achievements include the generation of 6.37 GWh of solar energy in 2025, bringing cumulative solar generation to 31.8 GWh since 2017, alongside an 8% reduction in water consumption across Dubai Airport Free Zone and Dubai Silicon Oasis. DIEZ also reported 25 LEED-certified buildings, substantial energy savings through smart infrastructure initiatives, and continued investment in innovative sustainable development projects.

On the social front, DIEZ achieved a 61% Emiratisation rate, delivered more than 10,400 employee training hours, and maintained 100% workforce coverage under its health and safety management system, with zero fatalities or high-consequence injuries recorded since 2022. The organisation also demonstrated strong governance performance, including 100% compliance with core service delivery timelines, 100% anti-money laundering (AML) inspection coverage, and 98% cybersecurity and data quality scores.

The report marks an important milestone in DIEZ's sustainability journey, establishing a foundation for future ESG reporting while supporting the ambitions of UAE Net Zero 2050, Dubai Economic Agenda D33, and UAE Vision 2031.
